A major mining company are seeking a Dry Process Engineering Expert to join their corporate team in France. This role will play a vital role in offering process expertise to a range of facilities in our client’s extensive portfolio (over 200 sites) globally.

THE ROLE:

Sound technical knowledge in Dry Process engineering – Fluid mechanics, Heat transfer, Refractory, Combustion, Crushing / Grinding, Material handling etc.
Strong expertise in process automation, control systems
Excellent Analytical skills – ability to interpret data and propose solutions
To be an open-minded in solving problems and work as a team
Effective communication to work in a multi-cultural work force globally
Hold key people to account and encourage change through positive results and consistent delivery
Effective communication – delivering training, mentoring junior engineers and encouraging continuous improvement
Promote new ideas and benchmark technologies in the process
Monitor performance of operations and communicate the evaluations to teams and management
Contribute to improving variable costs by making process and equipment operation more efficient & effective
Initiates continuous improvement projects in process optimization
Conducts process audits, flow measurements, mass & heat balances as set by the process experts and technical directors
Involvement in short term development studies through audits and other plans.
Analyze the process adequacy of new investments, methods or techniques
Follow up on actions implemented to correct or improve situations, especially when programs involve testing, new materials, or process modifications
Work in collaboration with parallel experts within the group, form key stakeholder relationships and represent the group in the most professional manner

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. We may also be able to consider applicants holding similar degrees in mining or material engineering)

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • At least 5 full years’ experience of a cement/lime/mineral processing/optimisation role – with at least 3 years of this in an operational/field based role
  • Experience delivering training and facilitating group discussions/events with management, peers and junior engineers/team members
  • Delivering presentations both internally and externally
